Originally from Chicago, IL, Wesley received his B.A. from Howard University and spent the majority of his post graduate life traveling and working in variety of jobs from politics, theatre, hospitality, and ultimately committing to film. Wesley began his film career as a locations assistant on the feature film, Miss Virginia, and has since gained a range of experience in producing, directing, screenwriting, cinematography & camera operations, editing, and sound recording.
As a filmmaker, Wesley Vaughn is dedicated to creating original concepts by bringing visual arts to life through narratives, cinematic composition, and amplifying the impact of the lens through the human eye. While his technique to filmmaking is fluid and versatile, Wesley lends his aesthetic to gothic surrealism, taking inspiration from urban environments by capturing the essence of humanity in its rawest form.
